Residing on Tamborine Mountain in the Gold Coast Hinterland, Sabine Bannard is a visual storyteller with a special interest in documentary-style analogue photography.

Sabine’s warm, intentional, and considered nature attracts like-minded collaborators including Seed & Sprout, Little Tienda, Togo Sun, Ukiyo Boutique, The Golden Goods and Settler Hives. She has captured digitally, and on film, several holiday abodes including Whalesong Shack in Tasmania and her work has appeared in the pages of Frankie and Peppermint magazines.

Sabine’s formative years in Germany were a vibrant tapestry of culture, art, and music. She began her career immersed in kitchens and wineries, before cultivating a loyal following as a House and Techno DJ, eventually taking on a hosting role on the Housefrau music television program.

In the early 2000s, Sabine relocated to Australia with her young family. Here, photography became her chosen medium. Drawing from her wealth of artistic endeavours, Sabine is a holistic storyteller by nature. In her photography, she hopes to transcend simple aesthetics and evoke a fuller sensory and emotional experience.

In 2023 Sabine launched the Concept Of Home series. As someone who has called many places ‘home’, this series is for Sabine a personal exploration into the spaces in which we live - a raw, moving and joyful reflection of family kitchens as well as the culinary and familial narratives that unfold there.
